A NEW ERA

Inspired by this dialogue, we made a bold decision. As a farm that has achieved remarkable success, including our debut 2nd place Cup of Excellence in 2021 and the 1st place Cup of Excellence in 2022, we chose not to participate in the Cup of Excellence competition this year, paving the way for other remarkable farms to showcase their exceptional coffees. Instead, we set out on a new venture – the Paramount Coffee Auction 2023.

Last year, during a thought-provoking panel discussion in Boston, we openly addressed an important issue within the coffee industry: coffee lots from the same farms winning Cup of Excellence multiple times. These farms often have ideal growing conditions, experienced farmers, and a commitment to continuous improvement. So we discussed the idea, among others, of awarding a badge to these farms while exempting them from further competition
